LEBANON, TENN. — The Wilson County Fair Board selected “Magic Memories at the Wilson County Fair” as the theme for this year’s fair, which will open on Friday, August 17, at 5 p.m. and run through Saturday, August 25.
Wilson County Fair Board President Randall Clemons said that our focus is the AG in the word magic. We are an agriculture fair. Agriculture – it feeds us, clothes us, and shelters us. What would our life be like without Agriculture?
Approximately 3 million people visit Tennessee agriculture fairs each year. Governor Bill Haslam and the Department of Agriculture has challenged us to increase the awareness of agriculture and its contributions to the state of Tennessee. This challenge provides us with the opportunity to bring the agriculture message to every fair goer as we make MAGIC MEMORIES at the 2018 Wilson County Fair!
There are over 150 events that take place during the nine-day fair and volunteers are making plans to tie the theme in to the many exhibits and competitions during the fair.
Presented by your Middle Tennessee Ford Dealers, the cover of the 2018 Wilson County Fair Premium Catalog, which will be out in mid-July, pays homage to the fair’s roots in agriculture, as well as to great entertainment and rides.
Clemons said fair organizers are planning for this year to be a great Fair. There are lots of plans being made to make coming to the Fair fun and where families can make memories to last a life time.
We want you at the 2018 Wilson County Fair, along with your family and friends. We’re working hard to make the largest fair in the state of Tennessee the best one ever, and we hope you’ll join us.”
