LEBANON, Tn. – Officials with Wilson County Fair announce today, Darryl Worley, Academy of Country Music recording artist will appear at the 2009 event sponsored by Burchett Ford Lincoln-Mercury of Lebanon. Worley will perform before a hometown crowd on Monday August 24, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. under the lights of the Wilson County Fair midway and the newly completed covered arena. “Having a performer like Darryl perform at the fair is great for Wilson County and the surrounding communities. Being able to visit the fair and attend a concert all in one place is a great opportunity,” said Craig Browning, spokesperson for the fair. Worley, an artist of Stoudavarious Records and a resident of Wilson County, will perform hits such as “Sounds like Life to Me” and “Have you Forgotten,” a song that Worley recorded following the events of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States of America. The concert is free with fair admission. The covered arena debuted on the Wilson County Fair Grounds in 2008, and has proven to be a prime location for events such as concerts and livestock events. Wilson County Promotions, in conjunction with the James E. Ward Agriculture Center, combined monies to build the new building on the grounds to broaden the variety of events that are held at the fair. The 2009 Wilson County Fair runs from August 21 – August 29 at the James E. Ward Agriculture Center. James E.
