Concert series has special meaning for Fair Board member - While thousands of fairgoers are excited about the Tony Bates concert series this year at the fair, one from our own Board of Directors has a little more excitement than most.

Lyndon LaFevers, the chairman of our Poultry and Rabbit Division for 25 years now, wrote a song back in 1992 with a friend, Stuart Montgomery, from church....

Helen Grubbs Wins Great Give-Away Vehicle - Helen Grubbs and son Travis Grubbs of Lebanon were the winners of the vehicle drawing in the Great Give-Away. They chose the Chevy Malibu. Randy's Heat & Air in Watertown was the sponsor who gave out the winning ticket.

Ashlee Agee Crowned Wilson's Fairest of the Fair - One of the most anticipated pageants at the Wilson County Fair is Fairest of the Fair, held on
Monday evening. Ashlee Morgan Agee was named 2012 Fairest of the Fair out of some 30 contestants.

"Serenity in the Grove..." - Fiddlers Grove has a serene quality as darkness blankets the Wilson County Fairgrounds. The Grove is a collection of close to 60 pioneer style buildings - some reproduction and some originals moved from other locations in Wilson County to the James E. Ward Agricultural & Community Center, home of Fiddlers Grove.

'Ear' of Corn - With 2012 being the "Year of the Corn" at the Wilson County Fair, corn is everywhere! You'll also find lots of other crops displayed, including tobacco and soybeans, along with cornstalks, shelled corn and ear corn. In 1778, corn was the first recorded crop in Middle Tennessee planted by European settlers Thomas "Bigfoot" Spencer and John Holliday.
