TENNESSEE’S AMAZIN’ BLAZIN’ BBQ COOKOFF
Friday and Saturday, August 15-16, 2008

Over 50 Teams from 9 States will roll into Wilson County with their cooking rigs, and a treasure chest of spices, sauces and secrets to compete in the 4 categories of Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork, and Beef Brisket. More than 50 BBQ judges representing 11 states, who have been trained and certified by the KCBS, will serve as their jury.
A special “What’s Your Beef?” competition will take place on Friday evening where cooks will prepare a beef steak for submission to the judges.

Fair Visitors are Invited To
- Visit with Cook Teams they may have seen on cable channels like the Food Network and Versus
- Attend KCBS's Great American BBQ Tour demonstration of BBQ products and enjoy samples from expert chefs
- Attend the Awards Ceremony at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday

Cookoff is a State Championship entitling the Grand Champion to an entry into the prestigious American Royal Invitational BBQ Cookoff and the Great American Barbecue Contest Invitational Division in Kansas City, Missouri, and into the draw for the Jack Daniel’s World Championship BBQ Cookoff.
