Celebrate the Year of Corn

Corn Salad Contest

1. Pre-register by calling 615-444-9584 or emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Name, Address, Telephone Number and Title of Recipe no later than Saturday, August 11, 2012.
2. Enter all items Friday, August 24, 2012 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the East/West Building (Back of Building).  All entries will be judged beginning at 6:00 p.m.
3. Each entry MUST use at least one type of Corn. 
4. All entries should be in disposable containers covered with a tight fitting lid when entered.  (Wilson Co. Promotions will not be responsible for containers.)
5. Typed recipes no larger than 8 1/2 X 11 must accompany all entries with name, address, telephone number and email address. 
6. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be given prizes.  Winning entries will receive prizes after announcements have been made. 
7. Entries will not be returned and recipes become the property of Wilson County Promotions and may be used for marketing future events.
8. Entries must be made by exhibitor who is 19 years or older (Adult Division) and a resident of Wilson County.  Exceptions to this rule are as follows:  Wilson County fce members and Wilson County Master Gardeners who are not Wilson County residents are allowed to enter.
9. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
10. No mixes are to be used. 
11. This will be judged LIVE.  Judges will NOT discuss entries with audience members during the judging. 
12. The 1st place winner will make plans to demonstrate how to make their winning salad dressing recipe on Saturday, August 25, 2012 before the Taste of Wilson County Cooking Demonstration at 7:00 p.m. in the East West Building (Back of Building).
13. Judging Criteria:  Corn Salad will be judged on appearance, flavor, & use of corn.
