Description

HONEY & BAKING WITH HONEY

  1. Competition open only to Wilson County residents and/or Wilson County Beekeepers Association members.
  2. One entry per lot per person.
  3. Honey will be judged ONLY in standard 1-lb. Honey jars. All other jars will be disqualified.
  4. Photos must be 5" x 7" or larger and mounted. NO FRAMES or GLASS. Either black and white or color may be submitted.
  5. No identification allowed on entries.
  6. Entry acceptability at judge's discretion. Judge's decision is final.
  7. Entrants responsible for placement of honey grade.
  8. All honey and beeswax must be produced by the exhibitor.
  9. All entries in this division must be entered Thursday, August 15, 2013 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and are not to be picked up until Sunday, August 25, 2013 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
PREMIUMS FOR ALL CLASSES: 1st -- $10.00 2nd -- $7.00 3rd -- $5.00
Overall Champion Ribbon (Tom Hart's Bluest of the Blue) will be given along with a $25 gift certificate from Walter T. Kelley Company

BEEKEEPING PHOTOGRAPHY - CLASS G
Lot 1. Close-up Print: Subject must be
related to beekeeping.
Lot 2. Scenic Print: Apiary subject,
such as flowers, hives, etc.
BAKING WITH HONEY -- CLASS H
(No purchased mixes may be used. All entries must be made from scratch. No Bread Machines used.
Sweetening must be 100 percent honey.  Recipe must accompany all entries)
