Garden Rules and Regulations

  1. Exhibits will be entered between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010.  Bring entries to the Youth Building
  2. All articles are exhibited at owner’s risk, but all reasonable precautions will be taken.
  3. Prizes will be awarded on the decision of the judge.
  4. Vegetables will be judged on quality (uniform in size, fresh, firm and undamaged; free of disease and insects.)  If only one entry in class, it will not automatically win first place.
  5. No person may enter more than one entry in any one lot.
  6. All vegetable and fruits must be grown in the 2010 season.
  7. All exhibits must be grown on home farm.
  8. Premiums will be paid on Sunday, August 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  You must pick up your entries during that time, with the exception of Class 3, Lots 1-5 and all of Class 4, which are property of the Fair.
  9. Competition open to Wilson County Youth only.
  10. Due to limited space, only winning entries in class 3, lots 1-5 and in class 4, lots 1-29 will be displayed.  All non-winning entries in lots as just listed will be donated to food banks in Wilson County.

CLASS 1 - SILAGE
Premiums: 1st - $10 • 2nd - $7 • 3rd - $5
