  1. All non-perishable exhibits will be entered between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011.
  2. All articles are exhibited at the owner’s risk, but all reasonable precautions will be taken for protection of items.
  3. The division entered will be determined by the person’s age on the opening day of the Fair (August 12, 2011).
  4. Name and age must be on the bottom or back of each item.
  5. No person may enter more than one entry in any one lot.
  6. Canned items will not be accepted unless they are in standard canning jars and sealed with 2-piece flat and ring lids. One piece tops are NOT accepted. Jarden Home Brands, maker of Kerr and Ball Canning products, sponsors a separate canning contest. To be eligible for that contest, you must use Kerr, Ball or Mason Product (jars, flats and rings).
  7. All items must have been made since the 2010 Fair.
  8. Prizes will be awarded on the decision of the judge(s). Judge(s) will not be required to award prizes unless the quality of the entry is deserving of recognition.
  9. Premiums will be paid and exhibits must be removed between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2011.
  10. The Wilson County Fair will not be responsible for any entry left past the time specified in rule Number 9.
  11. Competition open to Wilson County youth.

    PARTICIPATION AWARD
    A certificate will be awarded to the student with the largest number of entries in the YOUTH EXHIBIT BUILDING in each of the three age categories.
      "Hats Off to the Wilson County Fair,"
In celebration of this year's theme, we're having a new contest. Create and enter a
              "Fair Themed Wacky Hat."
The winning entry will receive a special prize!!

RULES:
  1. All entries in this division must be entered Thursday, August 11, 2011, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  2. No purchased mixes may be used. All entries must be made from scratch.
  3. Judging will begin at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011.
  4. Winning entries must be left for display throughout the Fair.
  5. Entries that do not place will not be returned.
  6. Entries must be in disposable containers. All other containers become property of the Fair.

DIVISION SEVEN: PHOTOGRAPHY

RULES:
  1. All photos must be the original work of the exhibitor.
  2. Exhibitor is limited to one (1) photograph in each lot.
  3. Name, phone number and age of the exhibitor must be on the back upper right, whichever orientation is presented. This is to ensure the photo is entered into the correct class.
  4. Judging will be based on quality, composition, originality and relevance.
  5. All photos must be 8 x 10 and mounted on mat board with a stiff backing. The mat board must be 11 x 14 ONLY with an 8 x 10 opening.
  6. Any color mat will be accepted. No decoration is allowed on mat. No poster board or framed pictures.
  7. Due to limited display space, the same image cannot be entered in both color and black and white.
  8. The management of the Fair reserves the right to refuse any photograph deemed unsuitable for competition and all photographs will be displayed at the discretion of the management of the Fair.
  9. Entries that do not meet requirements may be disqualified for awards.
  10. Any photograph that has previously been entered at this Fair is ineligible to compete.
The Nossi College of Art offers a scholarship each year to an individual in Class 3.

  2. Exhibit must be related to the 4-H member’s 4-H Project (not school or science project).
  3. Must be “free standing.” (Member must furnish own card table.)
