Photo Assignment: Open to all fair patrons ages 5 and up (no pre-registration required)

Date & Time: Saturday,  August 22 through Wednesday August 26

Limit: 1 Fair image per entrant

What: This is a photo contest unlike any other.  All entries must be shot with a CELL PHONE CAMERA at the 2009 Wilson County Fair.  Take images home, download your best Fair images to your computer and send an email with your photos attached to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SHOW  the images on your cell phone LCD if you are a winner.  DO NOT erase the images you send in to the contest.  Winners will be notified via email, so be sure to send your contest entry from your contact email address (include your phone number in email messages).

Judging Criteria:  originality, composition, creativity, represents the Fair.  Decisions of the judges are final.

Prizes: 1st Place $25

Tips: 

• Use your camera phone to get close to subjects but still maintain focus
• Build in time for the delay between pressing the capture button and taking the image when snapping spontaneous moments
• Ensure you have a steady grip of your handset before you shoot
• To make a particular snapshot, turn the power on and bring the object in focus in advance to capture  wonderful moments.  Set burst mode in advance
• Use flash with caution.  Natural light will make more vivid pictures.  Soft light is better in showing details.

The exhibitor agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Fair, the county and the State of Tennessee from and against any liability, claim, loss or expense (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of any injury or damage which is caused by, arises from or is in any way connected with participation in this program or event, excepting only that caused by the sole active negligence of the Fair.  The Fair management shall not be responsible for accidents or losses that may occur to any of the exhibitors or exhibits at the Fair.  The exhibitor (or parent or guardian of a minor) is responsible for any injury or damage resulting from the exhibitor’s participation in the program or event.  This includes any injury to others or to the exhibitor or to the exhibitor’s property.  Exhibitors agree to allow the Wilson County Fair to display their work to promote the Exhibition of Photography for the remainder of the Fair.  I acknowledge that I enter at my own risk and that these entries do not violate copyright or trademark laws.  I certify that I have read the statement listed above.  I agree to give permission to the Wilson County Fair to reproduce submitted image in any Fair publications, printed materials, or merchandise without additional compensation.
